Samuel Ichiye Hayakawa (18 Temmuz1906 – 27 Şubat1992) Kanada doğumlu Amerikalı akademisyen ve siyasetçi. İngilizce proseförüydü. San Francisco State Universitesi`ne rektör olarak çalıştı. Sonra 1977`den 1983`e kadar Amerikan Senatosu`nda Kaliforniya` senatörü olarak hizmet verdi. Doğdu yer olan Vancouver`da bir halk okuluna devam etti. Manitoba Üniversitesi`nden 1927 yılı`nda lisans derecesini aldı. 1928 yılında McGill Üniversitesi`nden, 1935`te Wisconsin-Madison Üniversitesi`nden İngiliz dilinde yüksek lisans derecesini kazandı.
