Robert Ervin Howard (22 Ocak, 1906 - 11 Haziran, 1936) Amerikalı yazardır. Fantazi, korku, tarihsel macera, boks, western, detektif kurguları dallarında eserler vermiştir. 300`ün üzerinde hikaye ve yedi yüz`ün üzerinde şiir yazmıştır. Kılıç ve Büyü (Sword and Sorcery) türünün yaratıcısıdır. Yarattığı kahramanlar arasında Barbar Kimmeryalı Conan, Atlantis`li Kull, Pikt kral Bran Mak Morn, yobaz Solomon Kane ve İskoç Cormac Mac Art bulunmaktadır. }
